The office: 

• Functions as a liason and promotes co-operation between the Netherlands and India and Sri Lanka in the areas of agriculture, agri-business, food, fisheries, nature management, agricultural research and education.  
• Exchanges information with the ministries in its working area. 
• Promotes Dutch exports of agri-business products and services to the countries in its work area. 
• Offers information to Dutch and Indian suppliers of amongst others agricultural products, agricultural machinery, agricultural services and consultancy. 
• Wherever possible assists the local Dutch and Indo-Dutch agri-business sector, as well as those companies in Sri Lanka that have a joint venture with a Dutch company. 

The work area of the agricultural office is India and Sri Lanka.
