VISA INFORMATION BULLETIN FOR ARUBA

GENERAL INFORMATION

  1. Indian nationals, travelling to Aruba for tourism or other reasons, need to apply for a visitor’s visa. There is NO need for an airport transit visa: Indian nationals on their way to their final destination outside Aruba, staying in the transit zone of the airport on one of the islands for a maximum of 48 hours,  can do so without having a visa for Aruba. In case the applicant wishes to stay for more than 48 hours in Aruba a visitor’s visa is required.
  2. The following persons do NOT require a visa for Aruba
    - Holders of a valid residence permit for The Netherlands Antilles or Aruba.
    - Holders of a valid residence permit for the United States of America, Canada and all Schengen Countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden).
    -  Children under the age of 12 (twelve ) travelling with their parents or legal guardian.
    -  Captains, crew members and passengers whose ship or airplane docks or lands in Aruba for maximum 48 hours, provided there is no threat or danger to national security and/or the public.
    - Those travelling aboard a cruise ship and visit Aruba as part of the Caribbean itinerary.
  3. Please note that all visa applications must be submitted to the competent authorities of Aruba. The authorities in return will inform the Embassy or Consulate General within 5 working days on the outcome of the applications. The Embassy and the Consulate General will then process the visa application within 72 hrs.
  4. Please note that a visa does not guarantee access to Aruba, since the final authorisation remains within the competence of the immigration officer at the border. It is advised to bring copies of  invitation letters and proof of sufficient financial means when travelling.
  5. In principle all applicants have to apply in person.
