The Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched the database ‘Developing your business’, aimed at stimulating business with emerging markets like India. India Business Guide

In 2007 we present a revised and updated edition of the India Business Guide 2007. Since it was first published in 1997, the Guide has proved a useful tool for Dutch investors and entrepreneurs exploring India as a business destination. The Guide gives all information you need to do business in India. It covers topics ranging from a general description  of the Indian economy and of emerging sectors to more practical information like Regulations on Foreign Direct Investments, Running a Business, Taxation and Labour laws. Finally, the Guide shares with you the useful business advise from experienced Dutch companies already active in India. The Export Promotion Board in the Netherlands (EVD) created an Information Page on Doing business in India. It gives page you can find information on: latest news, background information on India (factsheets, jurisdiction), sector information, EVD activities, documents, projects and tender information. Market orientation and Matchmaking

One of the prime responsibilities of the Trade network in India and the EVD in the Netherlands is to facilitate Dutch companies in exploring possibilities of the Indian market and to introduce them to potential business partners, clients and governmental officials. The procedure starts at the EVD in the Netherlands. After an intake interview the EVD sends the company profile and the specific business requests to the Trade Network in India. In return the company receives a Market Orientation Advise (MOA) within six weeks. If required, the Trade Network in India will assists with follow-up activities. The services are free of charge.
