Indo Dutch Collaboration in Computer Science
The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) invites companies to submit proposals in Computer science for Indo-Dutch researchers.
Innovation is going to be one of the key factors for the future of India and Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) are essential to bridge the gap between industry and the science community. NWO has extensive experience with PPP and is sharing this experience with India. NWO will also fund 50% of the costs of the research.
NWO challenges companies to submit proposals for scientific research, which can aid their long-term innovation agenda. They also aid companies to find the right research partners. The partnership aims to encourage collaboration between research institutions and private partners in India and the Netherlands to strengthen demand-driven research and innovation. The call aims specifically to bring industrial partners into contact with research institutions.
Under this collaboration, proposals for research projects will be jointly defined by companies and researchers on the basis of mutual strength and interest. In each project, three parties would be needed: academic researchers in India, academic researchers in the Netherlands and industrial researchers in India and/or in the Netherlands. The research scheme is facilitated by NWO, in cooperation with a company or consortium of public and private parties. NWO covers a maximum of 50% of the total costs of academic research in India and the Netherlands.
Duration of the project will be 2-4 years depending on the needs of the project. The programme strongly encourages exchange of Dutch and Indian researchers. Proposals can be submitted until October 31, 2013.
